Gujo Hachiman Castle

Hello! I am back in Tokyo and I will try to post some pictures from last week. On Tuesday, we went to Gujo Hachiman Castle. The town of Gujo was born in the middle of the 16th century when Endo Morikazu, a feudal-lord brought Gujo under his sway and built a castle on Mt. Hachiman. The two rivers in this town, the Yosida and the Kodara, are tributaries of the Nagara River. Endo counted on these rivers as natural moats and the castle town developed over this small area.
