One week from today, I will be in San Francisco, getting ready to fly to Japan. My students have been amazing and several of them have shared what they know about Japan and items that were in their families. Kennedy brought a silk Japanese dress to share with the class. Carson brought a pair of wooden shoes and pictures of his father in Japan for a martial arts convention. Sam told us about her grandmother being a teacher in Japan and shared a beautiful doll that her grandmother brought back to this country as a rememberance of her time in Japan
